Farmer's Wife Weeks 10-11

I discovered the secret to getting my adobe to finish updating! Ready?... I restarted it. BEHOLD, I BRING YOU WEEKS 10 AND 11! If you were holding your breath you can totally exhale now. (But when you get to block #7 squint your eyes a little and maybe hold your breath again until things get fuzzy?)

Let's start with a highlight. Bouquet is adorable, even if the point of the tulip isn't there on the bottom, I actually prefer it this way as I was not initially a huge fan of the flower blocks. (Notice I skipped Basket? I will probably use something from the Pony Club blocks for a replacement.) This block includes fabrics from the Wishes line and the green birds from Noteworthy. And I love it.

 Barf.
I will redo this block.

I am working with mainly scraps and mini charm packs so it's easy to run short on a fabric which is why the middle of box is a different fabric in the same colorway. I preplan these blocks and measure and measure again and then cut because I have limited fabric and after the cut, if it isn't right it is hard to use the fabric elsewhere.
I was so excited I had enough of the aqua text until I started putting it together and realized in my excitement I forgot the 2.5in centre square! Make do, I said! And I did. BAM. Box was born.

Another gentlemanly block using some of my highly coveted Road 15 fabric (grey pinstripe) which I only have 2 mini charm packs of. I almost cringe cutting it because A.) I love it so much and B.) there's such a limited quantity and C.) see A.)

Now we are all caught up! I hope to finish the skirt of my easter dress tonight and my next block and be ready to post again this weekend! (Honestly.... I am attempting button holes for the first time. If all goes well I will post how I did it, in a sort of tutorial-ish way. Wish me luck!)
