Noteworthy quilt

I thought it would make sense to show whoever is out there how my Sweetwater love was kindled. My cousin, who wrote a short story that got published, was expecting her first baby. I was overjoyed to see the noteworthy line! It was almost as though they had tailor made it to suit a baby quilt for a newly published authors baby! I mean, check out this fabric!

See "write a book" in the upper right corner!? And nearly everything else written on this fabric were experiences and dreams you'd hope your new bundle of joy would encounter in their lives! It was such a great line I needed to use a large selection of the fabric, so I went scrappy! Here are a few pictures of the process and the finished product. I had no intention of blogging at that time so they aren't the finest quality. In the future I'll put as much care into my photography as I do into making baby quilts... So much love placed into each stitch while thinking about the little person who is coming into our world and hearts. (I love making baby quilts...could you tell!?)
Now I'm not too sure why I don't have any earlier pictures of the construction of this quilt, but here it is being laid out. Again, apologies for the poor photo quality.

Here it is quilted, waiting to be bound. I wish I could go back in time and move those two red blocks at the top of this picture away from each other. Live and learn... I still love this quilt.

The quilt is bound in the yellow floral print, although looking back now I would probably chose something in the green. And I didn't take a picture of the back because it was a green flannelette floral/damask that had a nice hand but wasn't something I added my own personal touch to. Now knowing I will be blogging about my quilts I think I would have laid it out and taken a few photos of the finished product and some pictures with a corner folded over to show that back. Anyway, this quilt was sent on to live at my cousin's house and hopefully it has provided them with some quality snuggling!
